Privacy Policy
Cozybury (cozybury.com) is a free games website. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and the choices you have. You can play every game without an account.
Game progress stored in your browser
Your game progress, statistics, settings and recently played games are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They stay there until you clear your browser data. We cannot see this data unless you sign in (see below).
Optional sign-in with Google
Signing in is optional. Every game works without an account. Sign-in exists for one purpose: to save your game progress to your Cozybury account so you can continue on another device.
How we use Google user data
What we receive. When you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Cozybury (the openid, email and profile permissions). We never receive your Google password, and we do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google service.
How we use it. We use this information only to create and identify your Cozybury account, to show who is signed in, and to connect your saved game progress and statistics to your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Sharing. We do not sell Google user data and we do not share or transfer it to anyone, except to Cloudflare, which hosts our website and database on our behalf, or when required by law.
Storage and protection. Your account (name, email address, profile picture) and your saved game progress are stored in our database hosted by Cloudflare. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, and only the site operator can access it. While you are signed in, we also keep a session record (including your IP address and browser type) to keep you signed in and to secure your account; sessions expire after 60 days of inactivity.
Retention and deletion. We keep your account and saved progress until you ask us to delete them. To delete your account and all of its data, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with; we delete it within 30 days. You can also remove Cozybury's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and sign out from the account menu on the site.
Limited Use. Cozybury's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages and games are visited, how long games are played, and whether visitors return. Google Analytics uses cookies and a random identifier; it does not tell us who you are. We also use Cloudflare's cookieless web analytics to count visits and measure page speed.
Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and local storage to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and measure usage. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. See also how Google uses data from partner sites.
Your choices
- Every visitor is asked once, in a banner, whether to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are off until you accept. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser and choose again.
- You can use the site without signing in. Signing out stops cloud saving on that device.
- You can ask us for a copy of the data linked to your account, or for its deletion, at [email protected].
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, our database (accounts and cloud saves) and cookieless analytics.
- Google: sign-in (if you use it), Google Analytics and, when enabled, advertising.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Account data and cloud saves are kept until you ask us to delete them. Sign-in sessions expire after 60 days of inactivity. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Sign-in is intended for users 13 and older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
